• PrinterMan offers onsite out of warranty repair on printers (and a limited selection of other office products such as faxes) in the West & Central Scotland areas for a fixed callout fee of £50.00 + VAT including the first hour of labour.  [Subsequent hours of labour are charged at £30.00 + VAT per hour].
• PrinterMan undertakes to provide the customer with competitive pricing on all parts required for repair.
• PrinterMan will always give you the estimated price of the repair before fitting any parts, if you want to supply your own parts for some reason or if you decide not to continue with the repair you will only be charged the callout fee and any subsequent hours spent on your site, however if this requires a return visit to fit parts you supply, another charge of £25.00 + VAT will be applied – [at the discretion of the manager – e.g. waived if customer parts were bought considerably cheaper than we could supply them].
• During our callout we will attempt to repair the printer and dependant on the information available at the original callout we can usually arrive with parts required.  However given the number of printers and associated parts it is not always possible, for this reason there we choose to give a second call (in Glasgow only) free of charge – [at the discretion of the manager], second calls elsewhere may carry a £15 + VAT recall charge – [at the discretion of the manager].
• In the event of a failure to repair, you will still be required to pay for parts and [at the discretion of the manager] callout charges.
• “Emergency Callouts” ~ Callouts with a short time limit may carry a premium due to other work having to be delayed, please ask before confirming such a callout.

Offsite Maintenance [Workshop Labour]

• PrinterMan offers workshop maintenance on out of warranty printers at a flat rate of £25.00 + VAT per hour.  Printers may be dropped off at our Glasgow office for repair by prior appointment only.
• Customers will be informed of all charges before work is carried out, otherwise they may set a stop-loss limit on the amount of money they are prepared to spend to have the printer repaired within which PrinterMan will agree to work.
• If customers choose not to continue with repairs, parts already used and time spent will be charged at the agreed rate.
• All workshop jobs are done on “available time” and unless agreed in advance will not carry a time limit.
• Printers left for repair not picked up within 14 days of customers being informed of the completion of works will be disposed of by whatever means PrinterMan decide.  This will not affect the pursuit of payment.

Remote Printer Repair [Printer Pickup or Printer Swap-out]

• Faulty printers can be picked up from anywhere in Mainland Scotland [Islands and Remote locations by special agreement] and returned to our workshop for repair.  Prices depend on weight and size of printer.
• We will carry out all repairs within a reasonable time.
• Customers will be informed of all parts costs (and where it is reasonable to do so labour costs) before the work is carried out.  Customers may otherwise set a stop-loss limit on the amount of money they are prepared to spend in order to have the printer repaired which PrinterMan will not exceed.
• Printers will be returned to the customer (remote site) repaired.
• If customers choose not to continue with repairs, parts already used and time spent will be charged at the agreed rate as will freight costs.
• Printer packaging and security on journeys inbound to PrinterMan will be at the risk of the customer.
• Swap-out option will include an agreed replacement printer being shipped to the customer and returned to PrinterMan in good condition on return of the customers’ printer

Service Contracts [Annual Contracts]

• Annual service contracts are available from £75.00 + VAT per year.
• Annual service contracts will ensure priority of repair work.
• PrinterMan provide bespoke contracts for the regular maintenance or repair only of printers.  Among the options provided for are:
• Repair labour only ~ [ad hoc callouts per year]
• Maintenance and Repair ~ [Regular or annual maintenance and ad hoc callouts]
• Maintenance, Repair or Replace ~ [Maintenance, callouts and an option to replace printers which are beyond economic repair]
• Repair or Replace ~ [Ad hoc callouts with a replacement option]
• Remote Printer Swapping ~ [Replacement of broken printers during a contracted period]
• Remote Printer Repair ~ [Temporary replacement of broken printers, the return of the broken printer as repaired and the collection of the temporary replacement]
